Here it is April and I had to grab Mommy by the pants leg and pull her to the computer to complete my February Santa Fe blog. I mean, it's not like Daddy didn't get the photos to her in time. Heck - Daddy posted his photos on Facebook as soon as we got back from the trip. I'm starting to think I should have a Facebook page instead of a blog.
In February, we took another trip back to Santa Fe. This is our third trip through Santa Fe in less than a year. I'm starting to recognize a lot of the trees and fire hydrants there.
As we drove through Arizona, I got to see the new Arizona Centennial sign. Arizona's been a state for 100 years now (I don't know if that's that in doggy years or people years?)
Happy Birthday, Arizona!
Saw some strange weather on the drive.
And after a quick night stay in Gallup, NM, we ventured onward and eastward.
Daddy & I are sporting our very fashionable winter wear.
Daddy already had his jacket. Can you guess who bought my jacket?
This is the Loretto Hotel where we stayed.
They were really nice to me.
In Santa Fe, we met with Auntie Koena and Uncle Ralph. They ski. We don't.
This is Auntie Koena and Gene Pfieffer.
Uncle Ralph is so cool.
Gene Pfieffer, Martha Bennett, Uncle Ralph, Auntie Koena, Daddy & Mommy.
Auntie Martha gave Mommy a book of doggy jackets to knit.
Now Mommy just needs to learn to knit!
This is the Still family - Luke, Athena, Theron & Xanthia.
A delicious adventure at the Santa Fe School of Cooking.
Chef Jen Woodring.
Daddy & Mommy think the Chef looks like Auntie Michele Meyers.
Yum! All gone . . .
The best joke of the trip - Mommy taking a cooking class!
Later that night, I ate at the hotel and the rest of the group cozied in at one of the terrific restaurants. Just an FYI - they forgot to bring back a doggy bag!
I took lots of walks while we were in Santa Fe.
One of my favorite places to walk was along a path with hand-carved totems.
There were all sorts of friends out walking.
At least I wasn't the ONLY one that had to wear a coat.
These ribbon chairs are pretty cool. Really, they're too cold to sit on. That's why I'm sitting on Mommy's lap.
On one of my walks, I visited the San Miguel Church. It's the oldest Church building in the USA (built in 1610).
The ski slopes are several miles from the town of Santa Fe. So, most of the days, we only had cold weather. But one evening it did snow.
Because of the salt and chemicals the city places on the streets and sidewalks, I had to wear booties to protect my feet. And just in case you didn't notice, they match my jacket.
Daddy went snow skiing one day while Mommy & I took a very long walk.
We eventually made our way to a wonderful store for fur-babies. The store had toys, treats, gift cards, pet beds, and . . .
this very stylish new Santa Fe style jacket I'm sporting.
Now I'm blending.
One afternoon, Uncle Ralph, Auntie Koena, Daddy, Mommy & I walked around the art galleries. I liked this one. Unfortunately, I was also out voted.
I have no idea what kind of art this is.
I almost had one of these bells.
This is the same artist that made the twirly we have in our back yard!
I'm a "pack man", myself.
Yard art . . . blend in.
Auntie Koena gave me my favorite piece of art. It's a brown bear that I call Yogi.
This Santa Fe trip was a lot "cooler" and more fun then last "hot" summer's trip.
