Groundhog Day - June 30th

Today was just a drive day.  All day . . . I may know what Bill Murray felt like in the movie Groundhog Day.  Been there - done that!  We traveled through 4 states AGAIN today. We also traveled through some of the SAME states. From Connecticut, we went back to New York, then Pennsylvania (which was about 6 of our 8 hours of drive time), finally, we ended up in a new state - Ohio!!!!

KYOTEE had breakfast in Connecticut.

So I settled in for the next leg of our trip.
WHAT? We're here again?

The Newburgh–Beacon Bridge. The local name is the Hamilton Fish Bridge. Can you believe they named a bridge after a fish? It's a cantilever bridge that goes across the Hudson River in New York.
There seems to be some Meyers' family history about the Taconic Parkway from when Daddy was young.  They story includes avoiding a highway crash and the life-saving help of another driver.
Hey, look!  We crossed the Delaware River into in Pennsylvania again.

Figured I better groom myself for photos.
In DuBois, PA, KYOTEE was hungry again.

Argh!!!!  This is a long drive.
This is the home of the famous groundhog weather forecaster, Punxsutawney Phil. His expertise is in the Winter-Spring Crossover.

I think Daddy has the script to the movie, Groundhog Day, memorized.
This is a very long-g-g-g day.
Thought the trip would go faster if I climbed up on the luggage. WRONG!!!  Are we there yet?
Daddy looks like he needs a break.
Oh look!  Barkeyville.  Sounds gggreat!
Barkeyville looks like a good place for some grub. "Can we stop? Can we stop?"

Finally - a new state!
KYOTEE's last meal of the day -Valero, Turnpike Mautua OH.

We finally made it to Macedonia, OH.
Daddy & I are playing with my new toy, Nimrod.

We're settling in for the night. Time to catch up on laundry and sleep. We'll be in Macedonia, OH for 2 nights to visit with one of Mommy's long time friends.  Macedonia is just outside Cleveland, OH.
